I almost forgot to upload this piece of work that I contributed to for the Animation Workshop a couple of months ago. It has to be said, one of the shorter projects I have done, but one of the most fun.
I asked to compete against 4 others to come up with an audio solution to the animated advertisement. Thankfully, I was the one that made the cut and my solution is the one that was chosen. A testament to all the other candidates as their work were also really good.
‘Brighter Together’ is a campaign to advertise the Danish music and cultural Roskilde festival that is a charity that supports humanitarian aid to children and young adults around the world.
Being the composer and sound designer for this project, I had to work to a set criteria that wasn’t musical alone, but had to represent diegetic and nondiegetic sounds (diegetic – sounds that are represented by the characters. Nondiegetic – sounds that wouldn’t be heard in the scene (music)) . The target audience are young adults, 18-30, and the outcome needed to appeal to those who engage with a specific type of music that is similar to Deadmau5.
The outcome is what you watch above. I hope you enjoy it.
